stands apart from any personal trainers I've known. Some "supposedly"
highly qualified trainers are obviously in great shape themselves,
but can't translate that knowledge into a meaningful package for their
clients, who may have special circumstances to consider, like chronic
health challenges, or even just an incredibly busy schedule. In the
past, with other trainers, it has been a frustrating experience just
to schedule, which makes me feel like a number, not a unique individual.

 "I’ve
been working out for years, and making time for physical exercise
has never been a problem for me. But my workout time is limited by
family and work responsibilities, so efficiency and flexibility are
key. When I first met Cindy, my exercise routine consisted mostly
of cardio workouts. Most often I ran, or spent time on one of a number
of elliptical machines in the gym. My primary objective was to burn
calories. By doing so, I hoped to maintain or, better yet, lose weight.
Of course, back then I did not appreciate the importance of simultaneously
building muscle through weight training, and I did very little of
that. When my efforts towards better fitness seemed stalled, in spite
of my commitment and my best intentions, I decided to take a chance
on a personal trainer.
Three years
later, I am a very satisfied client. It took little time to realize
that Cindy knows her stuff. She has taken some of the mystery out
of weight training for me, explaining clearly every aspect of each
workout session. Every week she fashions a demanding, though achievable,
routine. Boredom has never set in, as no two workouts are the same.
I continually feel challenged, taught, motivated, and even entertained.
When minor aches and pains have cropped up, Cindy has skillfully
guided me to recovery, making necessary, short-term adjustments
in my training routines. She has a knack for carefully observing
and correcting technique, so that proper form can be achieved and
injury can be prevented.
Beyond her professional expertise, there’s
the terrific human side of Cindy. She has taken the time to help
me set realistic fitness goals, given my gender, age, and physical
ability. She has consistently accommodated my somewhat quirky and
demanding work schedule by remaining flexible in the scheduling
of our training sessions. And her genuine concern and interest in
my progress towards a lifetime of fitness is readily apparent".

“I've been exercising with Cindy since 1999, once a week and
we rarely miss a session. In all my 74 years I have never lasted more
than 2 weeks in an exercise program and have forfeited many gym memberships
by never attending. So Cindy already won a gold trophy by keeping
me going all these years.
In addition to her workout skills she listens and if I haven't continued
my exercise between our sessions she makes me think about what kept
me from working out. When you stop to consider that you learn a bit
about yourself.
Wellness Coaching didn't seem necessary when Cindy mentioned it, but
I was feeling a little down, not very interested in anything. I was
stuck in a rut of work, sit on sofa and then to bed, and another day.
After I started working on goals with Cindy I found other things to
do, she made me realize that I was working toward something. I started
eating better, drinking water, exercising, going out with friends.

though I didn't think I felt bad in the beginning. Cindy always makes
me feel better about myself and I have really enjoyed working on goals
for "wellness" with her. She is always "up" and
energetic and pulls me up there with her, from however low I am. I
